Overview

Located on the corner of the National Mall in the heart of Washington, DC, the Milken Center for Advancing the American Dream is home to The American Dream Experience — a series of immersive and interactive exhibits that explore the pillars of the American Dream: education, health, entrepreneurship, and financial empowerment.

Working with NeoPangea, I built and deployed four interactive digital exhibits and developed a backend content management system for four additional exhibits, enabling the museum's curatorial team to update content independently after launch.

Installations

The interactive exhibits blend physical space with digital storytelling, inviting visitors to engage directly with the themes of the American Dream. Each station was designed to be intuitive and accessible to a broad audience, from school groups to international visitors.

Currency and Capital interactive exhibit

The Currency and Capital exhibit explores the history and evolution of American currency, allowing visitors to interact with detailed digital reproductions and discover the stories behind the designs.

Investing in the Dream exhibit

Other installations guide visitors through the principles of financial empowerment, illustrating how investments in education, health, and entrepreneurship have shaped American progress.

Expanding Access exhibit

Interactive video players highlight stories of individuals and communities who have worked to broaden opportunity and break down barriers across education, healthcare, and the economy.

Advancing Perspectives exhibit

In addition to the interactive exhibits, I architected and built a custom content management system that powers four additional exhibit stations. Built on Strapi, the CMS gives the museum's team full control over media assets, copy, and interactive configurations — ensuring the exhibits can evolve with new stories and programming without requiring developer intervention.
